What to Do in Memory of a Loved One

We believe that the most important thing a child needs to grow up happy, connected and well-adjusted is a parent who is happy, connected and well-adjusted.

The Jewish experience of mourning is divided into a seven day period ("shiva"), followed by a thirty day period ("shloshim"), followed by eleven months that culminate on the anniversary of death ("yahrzeit / nahala").

This book does three things: 1) Explores the ideas of the soul, death and the afterlife. 2) Guides the mourner through the traditions and rituals of shiva. 3) Offers a thirty day guided exercise that both comforts the mourner and, according to Jewish mystical tradition, provides spiritual elevation for the soul of the departed.
